Northrop Grumman is seeking a Sr. Principal Supplier Quality Engineer to join their Supplier Performance Management team to support all programs at the site and ensure supplier quality risk management, process and product quality, and contractual, regulatory, and technical compliance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in an STEM or related discipline with 8+ years of relevant work experience in disciplines such as quality, supply chain, manufacturing, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, industrial engineering, or materials engineering
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD SECRET clearance.
- Experience with ISO 9001 / AS9100 Quality Management System certification process
- Certified Six Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt, or Master Black Belt
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) and/or Quality Auditor (CQA)
- Experience facilitating Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) activities
- SAP Business System experience
Responsibilities
- Responsible for supplier quality risk management – implementing proactive supplier performance management strategy.
- Develops and implements supplier quality evaluation and control systems.
- Assures supplier process and product quality, including contractual, regulatory, and technical compliance.
- Interfaces directly with supplier personnel and must be knowledgeable in and capable of assessing supplier manufacturing processes and procedures.
- Conducts product and process verification activities, monitors supplier quality performance, and drives root cause corrective action (RCCA) for supplier quality issues.
- Supports the maintenance of the approved supplier list and periodically reviews performance to determine whether suppliers should remain on the approved list.
- Manages supplier requests for waivers, deviations, and requirement changes.
