Northrop Grumman is looking for a Sr Principal Software Engineer to join the Joint All Domain Command and Control (JADC2) Directorate in support of R&D activities spanning multiple sectors and programs, to work on revolutionary systems that impact people's lives around the world today, and for generations to come.
Requirements
- Experience developing software with C/C++/Python/Java
- Experience integrating and debugging software on hardware
- Experience working within an Agile environment
- Familiarity with software development tools such as Git and CMake
- Two or more years working in C/C++
- DevOps experience with GitLab runners
- Experience with containers, Kubernetes, and Helm
Responsibilities
- Participate in software development in support of Research and Advanced Design programs
- Design, develop, and document software for Tactical Operator Interfaces
- Collaborate with the Architects and Systems Engineer to build and test an evolving product
- Generate and present material to support internal and external customer briefings
Other
- Bachelor’s Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university with 8 Years experience; OR a master’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university with 6 Years experience; OR a PhD in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university with 4 Years experience
- Ability to obtain and/or transfer and maintain the final adjudicated government Secret clearance, and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company
- Active Top Secret clearance
- U.S. Citizenship is required for all positions with a government clearance and certain other restricted positions
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
