Northrop Grumman Space Systems—Launch and Missile Defense Systems is seeking a Sr. Principal Software Integration & Test Engineer to support the U.S. President, the Secretary of Defense, and combatant commanders by ensuring the functionality and reliability of the Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program, a critical component of the Missile Defense System.
Requirements
- Experience with Linux and Windows system administration, including installing and configuring systems from the OS level up
- Experience with VMWare systems administration and installation
- Experience with Information Assurance policies and procedures, and the ability to apply IA requirements to an existing system
- Experience with scripting and automation technologies
- Experience with Git
- Applicants must have a current, active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start
- Applicants must have a current, active DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (such as Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA, etc.), which is required to start
Responsibilities
- Installation and configuration of Linux and Windows hardware platforms, from the operating system up to the C2BMC-developed applications
- Document and verify all installation and configuration steps in the documentation to be delivered to the customer
- Develop installation scripts to automate system setup
- Create test plans and procedures for software integration testing, oversee the integration/execution, conduct detailed data analysis, and prepare software test reports
- Coordinate the execution of software integration tests to verify system operation
- Collaborate with software developers as needed to help diagnose and identify the root cause of problems encountered during software integration
- Submit problem reports for errors identified
