The company is looking to solve technical problems related to development of new product formulations, technical service, and product/margin improvement, while maintaining customer relations and providing additional technical support.
Requirements
- Analytical and organic chemistry background, education, or training.
- Formulating experience in polyolefin compounding preferred.
- Skilled in the use of basic computer software, including word-processing and spreadsheets.
Responsibilities
- Develops new product formulations and modifies/improves existing product formulations.
- Provides formulations for product quotations and initiates production of sample formulations for compounding.
- Coordinates the development of new products with Manufacturing and Process Engineering to assure products can be produced on a commercial scale.
- Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates physical, thermal, weatherable, paintable, and analytical test data.
- Evaluates raw materials for approval to use in new or existing product formulations.
- Interfaces with vendors to identify new raw material or improve on current technologies.
- Performs in-house studies characterizing and correlating product formulations and their processing performance
Other
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or equivalent.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant technical experience.
- Must be able to travel to all Audia divisions, vendors, and customer sites for technical support
- Participates in weekly meetings to prioritize and schedule the production of samples.
- Participates in periodic Sales Meetings and monthly teleconferences.
