Stoneridge is seeking a Temperature Product Engineer to provide "Concept to Production" design for Automotive Temperature Sensors and Thermal Management Devices, with a focus on supporting serial production through VA/VE activities.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of temperature sensing technologies (Thermocouple, NTC, PTC – others)
  • Sensor package design for applications (housing, connector, wiring, plastics)
  • Sensing element design and construction process understanding (Ceramic PTC and NTC, RTD)
  • Plastic injection processes and material options
  • Analog voltage and current filter design understanding
  • Permanent wire connections design (Welding, Crimping, soldering…)
  • Experience with automotive Exhaust Gas temperature sensing application

Responsibilities

  • Working knowledge of temperature sensing technologies (Thermocouple, NTC, PTC – others)
  • Sensor package design for applications (housing, connector, wiring, plastics)

Other

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or related field and 10+ years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • Automotive industry experience and experience with temperature sensors and electrical devices is strongly preferred
  • Experience with TS-16949 and other automotive industry business systems
  • Experience creating 3D/2D designs and drawings using NX, Catia or Creo. NX Desired
  • Demonstrated ability to apply and interpret GD&T and ANSI/ASME Y14.5-2009
