Stoneridge is seeking a Temperature Product Engineer to provide "Concept to Production" design for Automotive Temperature Sensors and Thermal Management Devices, with a focus on supporting serial production through VA/VE activities.
Requirements
- Working knowledge of temperature sensing technologies (Thermocouple, NTC, PTC – others)
- Sensor package design for applications (housing, connector, wiring, plastics)
- Sensing element design and construction process understanding (Ceramic PTC and NTC, RTD)
- Plastic injection processes and material options
- Analog voltage and current filter design understanding
- Permanent wire connections design (Welding, Crimping, soldering…)
- Experience with automotive Exhaust Gas temperature sensing application
Responsibilities

Other
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or related field and 10+ years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required
- Automotive industry experience and experience with temperature sensors and electrical devices is strongly preferred
- Experience with TS-16949 and other automotive industry business systems
- Experience creating 3D/2D designs and drawings using NX, Catia or Creo. NX Desired
- Demonstrated ability to apply and interpret GD&T and ANSI/ASME Y14.5-2009
