Hubbell Incorporated is seeking an innovative and skilled engineer to design mechanical and structural products for their Enclosures Engineering team, supporting the growing infrastructure, construction, and development across North America. The role aims to design robust and cost-effective solutions for various applications and improve existing products.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in product development, design, or a related field.
- Experience in a continuous improvement manufacturing environment.
- Experience in using CAD based design software with Finite Element Analysis modeling.
Responsibilities
- Design and support of polymer concrete, fiberglass, and plastic enclosures.
- Research and develop innovative ideas and concepts for new enclosure products and processes.
- Define enclosure specifications, validation criteria, failure modes and effects, and proper applications.
- Create and introduce improvements to enhance designs, performance, and costs of existing products.
- Concept, prototype, validate, and create new enclosures, enclosure molds, and design modifications.
- Identify, support, and initiate quality and safety improvements.
- Provide technical knowledge for creation of test procedures, manufacturing of products, and data assessment.
Other
- 4-year degree in Engineering. Composite, Mechanical, or Materials Engineering degree preferred.
- Excellent MS Office applications skills
- Support customer inquiries, custom design requests, sales opportunities, and customer applications.
