Comcast's Technology, Product, Experience (TPX) organization is seeking to innovate, build, and operate best-in-class, reliable access networks for their customers by developing and delivering next-generation technologies that transform the customer experience. The Network Data Science team specifically aims to leverage data to inform decision-making for network architecture components and product launches.

Requirements

  • Understanding of access (DOCSIS/HFC/Optical) and core networks.
  • Exceptional product management and technology development tactics from both a business and technical perspective.
  • 5-7 years’ experience working in broadband telecommunications.
  • End-to-End (E2E) ownership of Product scope, deliverables, schedule, risks, and collaborators/key contributors, taking accountability for the success and quality of deliverables.
  • Cable Networks
  • DOCSIS
  • Network Design

Responsibilities

  • Lead product management of our federated architecture principles across multiple products like RF troubleshooting, capacity management, to name a few.
  • Be accountable for executing across the product lifecycle – product discovery, definition, delivery, and optimization.
  • Own roadmap, end-to-end ideation, product requirements, and delivery of features and technologies for next generation of network experiences.
  • Utilize a data-driven approach to your products, defining KPIs upfront and continually optimizing the Network experiences and recommendation engine against those KPIs.
  • Manage and prioritize the design backlog, working with product and engineering to ensure design activity.
  • Partner with various functions including engineering, operations, architecture, divisions, and employee workforce to successfully position products and features for successful end use.
  • Using agile methodologies, oversee the engineering team’s product development efforts, ensuring the final product is functional, operational, and meets requirements.

Other

  • Comfortable in being uncomfortable; programs move quickly, decisions change, plans adapt to changes, uncertainty is all around. A successful candidate will embrace the uncertainty and drive it to certainty as the project and product evolves.
  • Interact with executive management and decision-makers to build relationships and influence decisions.
  • Foster a culture of experimentation in the Network (access and core) space and drive experiment velocity to support continuous learning and optimization of the experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or relevant science or engineering disciplines.
  • This position is ineligible for visa sponsorship. To be considered for this role, you must be legally authorized to work in the United States and not require sponsorship for employment now or in the future.
