UnitedHealth Group is looking to manage the needs of a complex, dynamic, enterprise-wide AI governance program to ensure responsible AI practices, maintain consistency in processes, and meet increasing market demand and emerging technology standards.
Requirements
- Familiarity with AI/ML technologies, data governance, or digital health innovation
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and project management tools
- Understanding of AI governance frameworks (e.g., NIST AI RMF, OECD Principles, EU AI Act)
Responsibilities
- Lead the execution and continuous improvement of governance processes, including AI inventory management, AIRB operations, and AI risk assessments
- Manage intake, triage, and tracking of AI use cases across the enterprise, ensuring timely and risk-aligned reviews
- Support the implementation of technical tooling and automation to streamline governance workflows
- Draft and maintain governance documentation, including process maps, standard operating procedures, and audit artifacts
- Partner with Compliance, Legal, and Technology teams to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements (e.g., EU AI Act, Executive Orders) and internal policies
- Coordinate communications and training efforts related to Responsible AI governance, including stakeholder newsletters, guidance updates, and SharePoint content management
- Contribute to the development of metrics and dashboards to monitor governance effectiveness and identify areas for improvement
Other
- 5+ years of experience in program or project management, preferably in a compliance, risk, or governance function
- Demonstrated experience managing cross-functional initiatives with multiple stakeholders
- Solid writing and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into clear, actionable guidance
- PMP or equivalent project management certification
- Experience in healthcare, life sciences, or regulated industries
