Futrend Technology is looking to migrate legacy applications to Python and maintain existing applications while providing support to users.
Requirements
- Expert in Python (Django) and responsive front-end design (Bootstrap, Foundation, etc.)
- Experience with version control systems (git) and cloud-based services (AWS, Linode, etc.)
- Experience with JavaScript, jQuery and Backbone.js
- Proficiency with databases Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server (MSSQL)
- Unix/Linux experience
- Knowledge of deployment frameworks
- Experience with scripting, scheduling jobs etc.
Responsibilities
- Migrate legacy applications to python
- Analyze legacy applications code and Learn the legacy applications’ functionalities
- Maintain existing applications, and provide support to users
- Design new applications independently and/or work architect
- Provide vision for new applications from functionalities, to front end UI design
- Reverse engineer the legacy application if necessary
- Use customers’ systems to maintain code
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science or a related field
- 5+ years of engineering experience with a proven track record of building consumer web applications or services
- Self-motivated and accountable
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to clearly and professionally interact with clients
- Unix/Linux experience
