Parkland is looking to improve its enterprise-wide quality analytics management and reporting by hiring a professional who can design, develop, and maintain high-value reporting solutions, support interdisciplinary teams in quantifying quality and safety opportunities, and leverage the latest Business Intelligence tools and technologies to drive quality improvement.
Requirements
- Experience in data warehouse, data mart, or other big data settings.
- Experience working with an integrated Electronic Medical Record (EMR) application.
- Experience working with Business Intelligence (BI) tools and/or languages, such as Crystal reporting, Web Intelligence reporting, and dashboards (or similar analytics application such as Tableau or Power BI)
- Experience using SQL (Structured Query Language) server-based SQL coding or Oracle PL-SQL (Procedural Language/Structured Query Language)
- Must understand SQL (Structured Query Language) / Oracle relational and multi-dimensional database structures, schemas, stored procedures, views, and queries.
- Must have exposure to reporting tools, database services (SAP HANA, SSIS, Apache Nifi), or data modeling, warehouse and virtual universe design.
- Must have a working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, VISIO, SharePoint) software, SQL, and Web Intelligence (or similar report development tool)
Responsibilities
- Responsible for providing oversight and design of enterprise-wide quality analytics management and reporting.
- Utilizes and manipulates a variety of data platforms, formats and applications; develops reports integrating numerous data sources; and constructs and maintains dashboards and dashboards elements.
- Leverages expertise to provide support to key functional areas of the Quality and Patient Safety (QPS) Division and throughout the enterprise.
- Collaborates between the QPS Division and other departments, service lines, clinicians and vendors.
- Continuously improves divisional data analytic and reporting strategies and capabilities.
- Meets customers quality and safety analytic needs by designing, testing, and implementing high-value reporting solutions using industry standard reporting tools.
- Maintains and utilizes clinical databases and reporting applications necessary for the department to carry out its analytics and reporting functions, including but not limited to Epic, Vizient, National Health Safety Network (NHSN), Safety Center, SharePoint, National Surgical Quality Improvement Program (NSQIP), Web Intelligence, Digital Boardroom, HANA, SQL, and R.

- Bachelor's Degree in Health Informatics, Information Technology, Nursing, or clinically related field required from an accredited college or university.
- Masters Degree in Health Informatics, Biostatistics, Business Administration, Public Health, or a related field preferred.
- Must be able to accept verbal and/or written problems or direction from senior staff and to accomplish projects and tasks.
- Must have a high level of attention to detail, have the ability to manage multiple projects at once, and be able to demonstrate excellent analytical, organization, and prioritization skills.
