Targa Resources Corp. is seeking a Senior Software Asset Management Analyst to lead the governance, optimization, and lifecycle management of software assets across the enterprise, aiming to drive compliance, cost efficiency, and process maturity.

Requirements

  • Advanced proficiency in ServiceNow, Oracle Financial Cloud, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Deep understanding of software licensing models (e.g., SaaS, perpetual, subscription, cloud-based).
  • Proven experience managing enterprise software portfolios and vendor relationships.
  • Experience with Power BI or other data visualization tools.
  • Familiarity with ITIL framework and IT governance practices.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement enterprise-wide SAM policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Lead software asset lifecycle management initiatives, including procurement, deployment, usage tracking, renewal, and retirement.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for software licensing models, compliance requirements, and vendor negotiations.
  • Lead complex negotiations with software vendors to optimize licensing terms and reduce costs.
  • Manage high-value software contracts and subscriptions, ensuring alignment with business needs and compliance with legal and financial standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement of SAM processes and tools, including ServiceNow and Oracle Financial Cloud (OFC).
  • Champion automation and integration of asset discovery, tracking, and reporting tools.

Other

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in Software Asset Management, IT Procurement, or IT Finance.
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen, with experience in budgeting and cost optimization.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Certified Software Asset Manager (CSAM) or equivalent certification.
