Amivero is looking for a Software Engineer to help design, build, and maintain AWS Serverless applications using React (with Typescript), Node.js (with Typescript), and various AWS services to modernize federal government IT systems.
Requirements
- coding in languages including, but not limited to C, C++, C-Sharp, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- Basic understanding of front-end development with React and back-end with Node.js.
- Interest in learning AWS cloud development (some exposure is a plus).
Responsibilities
- Assist in building and improving features using React with TypeScript and Node.js with TypeScript.
- Help connect applications to AWS services like Lambda, API Gateway, and S3.
- Work with the team to turn ideas and requirements into working code.
- Write basic tests and learn how to ensure applications are reliable.
- Help troubleshoot issues with guidance from senior team members.
- Participate in Agile meetings and learn the software development process.

- Bachelor Degree + 7 years of relevant experience
- US Citizenship Required to obtain Public Trust
- DHS Public Trust preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 7+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to C, C++, C-Sharp, Java, JavaScript, or Python, OR 5 years of experience (experience in lieu of degree), in technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to C, C++, C-Sharp, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Willingness to take feedback, ask questions, and learn quickly.
- Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Must demonstrate exceptional communication, both written and verbal.
- Must be a team player (team-oriented) and willing to follow directions, as well as take initiative.
