Vitalant is looking for a Sr. Software Developer to design, develop, and support software applications that power their operations, aiming to strengthen their life-saving systems.
Requirements
- Knowledge in database design as it relates to data extraction required.
- Knowledge in Structured Query Language (SQL), Stored Procedures, and OLAP concepts required.
- Knowledge in report, software, and system life cycles required.
- Understanding of full software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies required.
- Experience with current data integration technologies and tools required.
- Experience with current Business Intelligence (BI) technologies and tools required.
- Experience with current object oriented concepts, frameworks, and languages for software, web, and mobile application development required.
Responsibilities
- Lead research, analysis, and activities for change requests and work orders.
- Manage development efforts to ensure projects meet established deadlines.
- Design and recommend proof-of-concept solutions for new data technologies.
- Ensure documentation meets software development standards and best practices.
- Prepare accurate time estimates for design reviews, coding, and testing tasks.
- Evaluate and recommend third-party software solutions.
- Collaborate with IT teams—including Architecture, Infrastructure, Business Analysis, and Quality Assurance—to deliver high-quality software.
Other
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Healthcare experience preferred.
- Certified in any of the following preferred: Microsoft SQL Server, Informatica, Oracle EBS, MicroStrategy
- Five years of related experience required.
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
