Disney Entertainment and ESPN Product & Technology is looking to solve the business and technical problem of advancing the technological backbone for Disney’s media business globally by building and enhancing commerce and growth experiences across their streaming platforms (Disney+, Hulu, ESPN+).
Requirements
- 5+ years of engineering experience.
- Experience in building and delivering high-quality, reliable, and scalable features for consumer-facing products.
- Familiarity with A/B testing and experimentation-driven development.
- Strong programming skills in Java or Scala.
- Familiarity with distributed applications on AWS.
- Full stack development experience.
- Familiarity with AI coding assistant tools.
Responsibilities
- Implement impactful, customer-facing features with attention to performance and scalability.
- Build and deploy A/B tests in collaboration with cross-functional partners to refine product experiences.
- Support system improvements focused on scalability and performance.
- Work alongside peers to troubleshoot issues and deliver high-quality code.
- Write, debug, test, and document code that meets high standards of quality and maintainability.
- Develop reliable systems with a focus on stability, supporting on-call responsibilities as needed.
- Proactively communicate with cross-functional stakeholders to clarify requirements, manage expectations, and resolve ambiguities in a dynamic environment.
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Clear, concise communication skills, both written and verbal.
