Zinc is building the programmable commerce layer for the internet, aiming to automate and integrate any online purchase through a simple API, as commerce shifts to automation, AI, and agents.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience maintaining production systems
- Hands-on with Playwright / Puppeteer / Selenium or similar, with deep knowledge of proxies, session management, and anti-bot detection/evasion, plus experience running Linux systems in production with Docker and AWS/GCP
- Can contribute across the full web stack, with a focus on building resilient, scalable backend systems
- Experience with AI/ML for automation, contributions to scraping/open-source tooling, or past work on anti-fingerprinting / stealth automation
Responsibilities
- Maintain and expand Zinc’s web automation and scraping pipelines to stay resilient as the web evolves
- Build new infrastructure that balances resilience today with growth tomorrow
- Debug production issues at the network/proxy/browser level and ship rapid fixes under pressure
- Collaborate directly with CEO on prioritization, product direction, and technical tradeoffs
