Synctera is looking for a backend software engineer to join their Customer Identity, Risk, and Compliance team to reduce risk for customers and ensure regulatory compliance within their FinTech platform. The role will focus on critical areas like transaction monitoring, KYC/KYB, and account verification.
Requirements
- 4+ years of professional experience working as a Software Engineer
- Prior experience with Go
- Experience with PostgreSQL or other relational databases
- Experience in using and creating RESTful APIs, which will be consumed by our frontend engineers and our customers
Responsibilities
- Develop application services in Go (Golang)
- Work with the product team and other engineers to understand financial services challenges and develop solutions to address them
- Be a leader on the ground and in the code
- Determine process improvements, best practices, and develop new processes
- Envision cleaner, simpler ways to solve problems
- Work in close partnership with cross-functional teams
- Mentor Software Engineers to allow for skill/knowledge development through advice, coaching, and training opportunities
