Illumio is looking to build a new, unprecedented way to orchestrate Zero Trust segmentation down to the application and pod/container level, identifying and easily blocking pathways of attack in the container ecosystem to contain cyberattacks and enable operational resilience.
Requirements
- 5+ years building distributed & scalable software systems
- Expertise in programming in C++ (11/14/17/20)
- Experience developing multi-process and multi-threaded applications.
- Familiarity with, and passion for, Kubernetes and related technologies.
- Solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, networking concepts, and debugging skills.
- Experience with firewalling technologies such as iptables, nftables, WFP or packet filter.
- Familiarity with BPF/eBPF
Responsibilities
- You will build a new, unprecedented way to orchestrate Zero Trust segmentation down to the application and pod/container level, identifying and easily blocking pathways of attack in the container ecosystem.
- Use the latest technologies and C++ standard.
- You will understand and enhance modern container platforms such as Kubernetes, Istio, OpenShift, AKS, EKS, GKE etc.
- You will have the opportunity to own and design critical features and subsystems, work out all the details, and defend the design before your peers.
- You will deliver a rock-solid implementation that is elegant, simple, scalable, stable, secure, and supportable.
- You will have the opportunity to work with the field organization and key customers to shape this novel product.

- Onsite work in Sunnyvale, CA – 5 days per week
