Blackhawk Network is seeking passionate backend engineers to build their next generation of payment systems on a public cloud infrastructure, aiming to create world-class payment applications with high scale, precision, and availability.
Requirements
- AWS Certifications, such as: AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional, Solutions Architect – Associate/Professional, SysOps Administrator
- Some experience working with Java-based applications
- Experience with event-driven architectures using: SNS, SQS, Lambda, Step Functions
- Experience with Java build tools and dependency managers (e.g., Maven, Gradle)
- Experience with blue/green or canary deployment strategies
- Proficient in scripting languages such as Python and Bash
- Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions)

- Stretch the limits of backend technologies to deliver functionality.
- Constantly leveraging cutting edge technologies on the cloud, and application stacks to build efficient systems.
- Translate business requirements into functional, deployable, and maintainable application modules using tools like BitBucket, Jenkins, Artifactory, and AWS.
- Experience with event-driven architectures using: SNS, SQS, Lambda, Step Functions
- Experience with blue/green or canary deployment strategies
