Uber is looking to build the best-in-class consumer shopping experience for Grocery consumers around the world, enabling them to easily discover and shop for their favorite merchants and items.
Requirements
- Programming language (e.g. C, C++, Java, Python, or Go)
- Product engineering
- Scalability engineering
- Distributed systems
- 2-years total technical software engineering experience in one or more of the following areas
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related field
- 3-years full-time Software Engineering work experience
Responsibilities
- build and maintain backend services and solutions to support user-facing products
- build and maintain internal tools and platforms used across Uber
- partner with stakeholders and lead team efforts to build and maintain backend services and solutions
- support user-facing products and internal tools and platforms used across Uber
- build the platform that powers the in-app merchandising and promotions for Grocery consumers
- enable customers to easily discover and shop for their favorite merchants and items
- lead team efforts to build and maintain backend services and solutions
Other
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related field OR 3-years full-time Software Engineering work experience
- Employees are expected to spend at least half of their work time in their assigned office
- For certain roles, such as those based at green-light hubs, employees are expected to be in-office for 100% of their time
- Must be eligible to work in the US
- Must be willing to relocate to San Francisco, CA or Sunnyvale, CA
