LexisNexis is looking to develop cutting-edge products and improve system performance and scalability, and is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer II to contribute to new product development and drive innovation.
Requirements
- Experience in C-Sharp (required), other development languages are a bonus (such as Angular/React, JavaScript, C/C++, HTML, XML)
- Demonstrate understanding of .NET (.NET 8 experience preferred)
- Experience and ability to work with data modeling and data storage subsystems
- Experience and ability to work with data manipulation languages such as SQL
- Familiarity of industry best practices — unit-testing, code coverage
- Ability to work well with internal and external technology resources
- Ability to write and review portions of detailed specifications for the development of system components of moderate complexity
Responsibilities
- Interfacing with other personnel or team members to finalize requirements
- Writing and reviewing portions of detailed specifications for the development of system components of moderate complexity
- Working closely with other Development team members to understand Product Requirements and translate them into Software designs
- Implementing development processes, coding best practices and code reviews
- Operating in various development environments (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) while collaborating with key stakeholders
- Completing bug fixes and resolving technical issues
- Ability to solve problems including the design of the program flow of individual pieces of code, effective coding, and unit testing
