Natera is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Test - Clinical Genomics to develop and maintain software automation test frameworks and tools for the Tertiary Analysis platform.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience developing test automation frameworks and harnesses using programming and scripting languages.
- Strong working knowledge of Java and other programming languages.
- Recent hands-on experience with REST API testing and test automation.
- Recent hands-on API test automation tools and libraries such as Junit, RESTAssured, Spring, Postman, PyTest, lombok, Allure, MockServer, and others.
- Extensive working knowledge of relational databases and strong SQL skills.
- Strong knowledge of Linux, command line shell scripting, Kubernetes, Helm.
- Shift-left quality & CI/CD (GitLab/Jenkins/GitHub Actions), observability (Datadog, Grafana), and release automation.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for maintaining and supporting the test infrastructure for Natera's software systems and components.
- Develop, construct, and maintain test automation tools and frameworks utilizing clean coding practices and functional programming methodologies.
- Perform complete end-to-end validation of Natera tertiary analysis software applications.
- Conduct system analysis, assess risks, and develop effective test strategies by reviewing product design and technical specifications, while collaborating with product managers and developers.
- Evangelize new testing methodologies, best practices and tools with goals to continuously improve test coverage through automation.
- Integrate with deployment infrastructure to establish a continuous build and test cycle.
- Collaborate closely with developers throughout all phases of the SDLC to ensure quality in our development process.
