Lucid is looking to develop and improve its luxury electric vehicles through advanced modeling and simulation techniques.
Requirements
- Experience in real-time controls plant modeling
- Working knowledge in chassis systems, vehicle dynamics and/or power electronics systems
- Knowledge with automotive communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, UDS, and related tools to measure and command signals
- Experience with revision control tools, such as git
- MATLAB/Simulink or similar model-based toolkit
- M scripts/Python scripts
- Automotive simulation software
Responsibilities
- Work with cross-function team to identify plant model requirements for MIL/SIL/PIL/HIL/System Integration testing
- Create subsystem models for different domains and integrate it to the vehicle model
- Develop physics and electronic actuators models for steering system, brake systems and electronic park brakes
- Assist in development of electrical models for high voltage systems such as motors, invertors and OBC
- Support development of real-time Simulation Models using MATLAB/Simulink or similar model-based toolkit
- Design & Develop tools using M scripts/Python scripts to automate integration of closed-loop library models
- Validate component, sub-system or full system model against actual vehicle data from field
Other
- Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical or automotive engineering
- 5+ years of experience developing plant models for simulation/software development or test
- Willingness to learn new tools and modeling methods
