Addepar is looking to solve the problem of managing and reconciling reference data for market data providers to establish a single source of truth and ensure alignment across public and alternative investment data products for clients managing their investment portfolios.
Requirements
- Proficient in distributed micro-services development, specifically with Python or Java
- Experience with databases, SQL, NoSQL, OLAP, and/or data lake architectures
- Interest in building data pipelines and in working with Big-data
Responsibilities
- Partner with multi-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy scalable data solutions that meet business requirements.
- Collaborate closely with our engineering leads to define and implement our platform architecture to meet Addepar's growth and scalability needs
- Evaluate and drive strategic business and technology decisions for the company and for customers
- Be a technical thought leader in multiple areas who educates and shares best practices.
- Your contributions deliver strategic and prescriptive guidance
- Contribute to increasingly challenging engineering projects with the ultimate goal of enabling solutions and effective use of the data platform.

- 5+ years of software engineering experience
- Ability to own complex projects involving partners across multiple team
- Proven ability to collaborate with and mentor other engineers
- A rapid learner with robust analytical and problem-solving abilities
- B.S., or M.S. in Computer Science or similar technical field of study (or equivalent practical experience)
