Nava is looking to modernize government services by helping agencies constrained by legacy systems to a future with sharp user experiences built on secure, reliable, fault-tolerant cloud infrastructure. The Senior Salesforce Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable, high-performing Salesforce solutions that meet current and future business needs, ensuring seamless integration between Salesforce and enterprise systems while defining best practices and standards for development, deployment, and automation.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience designing and implementing scalable, high-performing Salesforce solutions
  • Strong understanding of Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Salesforce Flows
  • Proficiency in integrating Salesforce with enterprise systems via REST/SOAP APIs, Mulesoft, ETL tools, or event-driven architecture
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Gearset, Copado, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Salesforce DX
  • Experience with one or more programming languages/frameworks outside of Salesforce (e.g., .NET, Python, Ruby on Rails)
  • Experience in cloud-based infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Strong understanding of user interface design best practices for Salesforce applications

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with government partners and other technology leaders to architect and design scalable and high-performing Salesforce solutions that meet current and future business needs
  • Lead the architectural design of Salesforce implementations, ensuring best practices and technical excellence
  • Define and enforce governance policies, security best practices, and scalability principles
  • Ensure seamless integration between Salesforce and enterprise systems via APIs, middleware (e.g., Mulesoft), and event-driven architectures
  • Provide guidance on Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Salesforce Flows
  • Review technical documentation, perform code reviews, and ensure code quality
  • Define best practices and standards for Salesforce development, integration, and deployment processes
