Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a talented engineer and leader to deliver solutions that provide secure-by-default libraries and components to AWS builders, making developing with the highest security bar the fastest and most delightful software building experience.
Requirements
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
- 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
Responsibilities
- Design, build and test Software Solutions that deliver industry leading secure-by-default components to AWS builders that meets the bar for durability, performance, scalability.
- Provide software development expertise in support of AWS Security
- Directly represent the team to business leader and technical staff at all levels of the company
- Prepare and present detailed, written technical information for internal and external audiences.
- Build tooling that AWS product teams use to build secure code in partnership with AWS Security Engineers and Product Teams
- Mentor more junior engineers and be security through leader for their organization
- Foster constructive dialogue and seek resolution when confronted with disagreement
Other
- Demonstrate "exceptional" judgment, integrity, business acumen, and communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience in a related field
- Ability to handle a mix of complex decisions while keeping customer security first
