Early Warning is looking for a Senior Software Engineer in Test (SDET) to perform test strategy, test design, test planning, and automation of various test frameworks and tools to ensure the quality and performance of large-scale API, web, and mobile application interfaces, with a focus on continuous integration and delivery for their products.

Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience developing software or test automation frameworks using two of the programming languages – Java, Ruby, Node.js or Objective C. Java is preferred.
  • Prior experience with established Software development and monitoring tools (GitLab, GIT, Eclipse/Android Studio/X-Code, Bamboo, Harness, Splunk, AppDynamics).
  • Experience with CI/CD and integrating automated testing.
  • Experience implementing test automation frameworks for API, web or mobile platforms (hybrid, iOS or Android) using any test automation tools– Appium, Selenium, Web driver, Rest-Assured API, and Cucumber.
  • AWS or Cloud experience.
  • Kubernetes.
  • Experience in building and executing automated and performance tests for REST and XML/SOAP/JSON based services.

Responsibilities

  • Implements an automated test structure in the CI/CD pipeline.
  • Directly contribute to the development of automated component, system integration (E2E), regression, backward compatibility and performance tests through continuous integration.
  • Executes automated and manual test suites and ensure overall system quality prior to production release.
  • Reports defects and issues to development teams and manage defects through to successful resolution.
  • Creates software test artifacts including test strategy, test plans, test cases, and test summary reports.
  • Continually seek opportunities to improve, optimize and simplify existing testing processes and methodologies.
  • Works together with relevant teams and departments to improve product quality.
