Rapiscan Systems is looking to solve the problem of combating terrorism, drug smuggling, illegal immigration, and trade fraud by providing cargo and vehicle inspection systems and services for ports, borders, military, high-threat facilities, and checkpoints.
Requirements
- Solid computer science fundamentals (e.g., data structures, algorithms)
- Experienced in: Languages: C++, C-Sharp, Python, XML, XSD
- Experienced in: Development tools: Visual Studio, InstallShield
- Experienced in: Operating Systems: Windows
- Experienced in: Source code management: GitLab, Bitbucket
- Experienced in: Databases: SQLite, SQL Server
- AD/LDAP, directory services implementation and integration experience.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and analyze requirements and operational problems.
- Maintain, build up, and port legacy products.
- Creating and building applications from the ground up.
- Design and implement efficient, reliable and scalable applications.
- Deliver high quality code.
- Integrate and deploy the software to variety systems.
- Stay on the leading edge of development practices.
Other
- BS degree in Computer Science. Similar technical field of study or equivalent practical experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
- 7+ years of relevant work experience in software development on Windows platform (Linux nice to have)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to pass an in-depth background check - Sensitive Security Information (SSI)
