The Senior Software Engineering Manager will lead teams responsible for designing, developing, verifying, and delivering post-market support for implantable embedded software.
Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant technical experience with 5+ years of managerial experience, OR advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with 5+ years of managerial experience.
- Strong Embedded Design and regulatory experience, especially post-market/released medical device software
- Experience working with embedded system requirements and interface specifications.
Responsibilities
- leading teams that are responsible for designing, developing, verifying, and delivering post-market support for implantable embedded software.
- Develop, evaluate, monitor and maintain design control systems that establish processes and best practices, considering both external and internal stakeholders.
- Collaborates with program managers to analyze metrics, fostering a culture of continuous improvement while effectively managing cost, scope, and schedule.
- Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the DES organization.
- Influences direct reports to focus on technical leadership, knowledge transfer, and career growth.
- Sets team and individual goals that align with key business outcomes.
- Monitors progress and provides quarterly performance feedback to direct reports

- This position is in Mounds View, MN within the Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) operating unit and requires an on-site presence.
- We are working onsite 4 days per week as part of our commitment to fostering a culture of professional growth and cross-functional collaboration as we work together to engineer the extraordinary.
- This role will require less than 10% of travel to enhance collaboration and ensure successful completion of projects.
