H&R Block is looking to build a new native mobile experience and transform how clients interact with their services, requiring senior software engineers to design, develop, and maintain software components for this new initiative.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of IOS and Android native languages such as Swift, SwiftUI, Kotlin, and Jetpack Compose
- Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g. Fastlane, Bitrise, Gihub Actions) and automated testing frameworks (Junit, Espresso, XCTest)
- Experience with implementing shared SDKs and understanding of App Store/Play Store compliance, enterprise deployment and mobile security frameworks
- Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure
- Strong understanding of different mobile architecture and implementations
- Familiarity with PING, Ionic, Data Dog, Azure Dev Ops, C-Sharp, .NET, or Angular
Responsibilities
- Help form strong coding foundations for both IOS and Android platforms
- Use tools, languages, coding standards, and best practices to develop new product features and maintain year over year product functionality and enhancements
- Identify product design features to support scalability, usability, and better performance
- Assist and drive technical design and code reviews for all new enhancements and maintenance work delivered by the development team
- Produce technical specifications to support product requirements
- Mentor and coach other team members on the latest technological advances and establish consistent best practice
- Coordinate with product, design, and IT partners to deliver customer centric mobile experiences
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or the equivalent through a combination of education and related work experience
- 5 years minimum related work experience
- Work closely with Quality Assurance, User Experience, and other related teams to ensure consistent understanding of requirements and approach
- Assist in planning and implementing a strategic direction for the product
- Understand complex business and functional requirements.
