Apple is seeking a QA Engineer to drive quality and help ship best-in-class applications and user experiences for visionOS, ensuring world-class user experiences and acting as the voice of end-users.

Requirements

  • Excellent knowledge of software development lifecycle, testing methodologies, and testing tools
  • Experience developing detailed test plans, assessing risks, filing detailed bug reports, and providing relevant data for test reporting
  • Experience with video streaming technology (ie, AVC, HEVC, live streaming encoders)
  • Hands-on experience working with AR/VR products and ecosystems
  • Experience with testing consumer electronics, mobile/console applications
  • Knowledge of Apple Platform development using Xcode, Swift, OR Objective-C preferred
  • Working knowledge of iOS/OS/WatchOS or other Apple ecosystem products

Responsibilities

  • Support testing of multiple features and drive the quality via extensive hands-on functional testing of user-facing features and systems via functional and automation-driven approaches.
  • Develop test plans and user studies.
  • Bug triaging.
  • Supporting design reviews.
  • Bringing test cases, functional, and working through complex development cycles for multiple areas.
  • Cover a broad span of test areas involving functional, performance, and reliability testing.
  • Triage and provide detailed debug information for expediting issue resolution

Other

  • BA/BS in Computer Science/Engineering and a minimum of five years of professional experience
  • Proactive self-starter with a keen eye for details, with a focus on end-user experiences and the ability to go above and beyond to ensure a high-quality release
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; discovering and documenting software and hardware defects; prioritizing and calling out problems to peers and management, driving their resolution
  • Ability to drive cross-functional communications, understanding dependencies, while also ensuring a tight timeline can be maintained
  • Communicate at a high level and dive into technical details with key partners or leaders.
