Requirements

  • Experience working in a regulated medical device environment, following Design Control procedures (such as IEC 62304 FDA 21 CFR 820, etc.)
  • Knowledge of engineering principles and concepts
  • Experience with manual testing of Digital Scanning software in an Agile software development environment
  • Understanding and application of industry practices and benchmarks
  • Expert-level understanding of company practices for SW integration and test
  • Experience with Scrum meetings, requirements gathering, user stories and test cases creation, and defects reporting
  • Experience with evaluation of tools, test development, and automation environment used for software verification

Responsibilities

  • Developing the test plans, verification strategies, traceability, and test infrastructure for Roche Digital Pathology products
  • Testing cutting-edge, distributed, scale-out Next-Generation Digital Scanning software to ensure highest possible software quality for disease diagnostics
  • Debugging software products using systematic tests to develop, apply, and maintain quality standards for company products
  • Developing, modifying, and executing software test plans and programs for testing
  • Analyzing and writing test standards and procedures
  • Maintaining documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software
  • Consulting with development engineers in the resolution of problems

Other

  • B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, or a related engineering field
  • Minimum of two (2) years directly related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Demonstrates success for technical proficiency, engineering creativity, collaboration with others, and independent thought
  • Develops and uses company design practices as applied to projects
