Requirements
- Experience working in a regulated medical device environment, following Design Control procedures (such as IEC 62304 FDA 21 CFR 820, etc.)
- Knowledge of engineering principles and concepts
- Experience with manual testing of Digital Scanning software in an Agile software development environment
- Understanding and application of industry practices and benchmarks
- Expert-level understanding of company practices for SW integration and test
- Experience with Scrum meetings, requirements gathering, user stories and test cases creation, and defects reporting
- Experience with evaluation of tools, test development, and automation environment used for software verification
Responsibilities
- Developing the test plans, verification strategies, traceability, and test infrastructure for Roche Digital Pathology products
- Testing cutting-edge, distributed, scale-out Next-Generation Digital Scanning software to ensure highest possible software quality for disease diagnostics
- Debugging software products using systematic tests to develop, apply, and maintain quality standards for company products
- Developing, modifying, and executing software test plans and programs for testing
- Analyzing and writing test standards and procedures
- Maintaining documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software
- Consulting with development engineers in the resolution of problems
Other
- B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, or a related engineering field
- Minimum of two (2) years directly related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Demonstrates success for technical proficiency, engineering creativity, collaboration with others, and independent thought
- Develops and uses company design practices as applied to projects
