3M is looking for a Senior Specialist, Data Strategy and Tools to design, develop, and implement advanced solutions using Microsoft Power Platform to meet business requirements, ensuring scalability and performance.
Requirements
- Four (4) years’ experience in Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate in a private, public, government or military environment
- Two (2) years’ experience in Microsoft Dataverse (formerly Common Data Service) and data modeling.
- Two (2) years’ experience with integration technologies such as REST APIs, Azure Data Factory, JSON and custom connectors, including HTTP Protocols to call and consume REST APIs.
- Two (2) years’ experience in SQL for data extraction, transformation, and reporting using Snowflake.
- 5+ years of experience in software development, with at least 5 years of experience working with Microsoft Power Platform.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 services (e.g., SharePoint, Teams) and Dynamics 365.
- Proficient with Azure services (e.g., Azure Functions, Azure SQL Database) is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex solutions using Microsoft Power Platform components such as Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Power Virtual Agents.
- Integrate Power Platform solutions with other Microsoft services (e.g., SharePoint, Dynamics 365, Azure) and third-party systems.
- Customize and configure Power Platform solutions to meet business requirements, ensuring scalability and performance.
- Design and implement data models, entities, and relationships within the Power Platform. Ensure data integrity and security.
- Develop and implement automated workflows and processes using Power Automate.
- Create and maintain interactive and insightful reports and dashboards using Power BI.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior and intermediate developers. Share best practices and promote a culture of continuous learning.

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a science field (completed and verified prior to start)
- Fluent in English for professional verbal and written communication.
- Work location: Maplewood, MN at least 4 days per week
- Travel: May include up to 10% domestic travel
