L3Harris Space and Airborne Systems is seeking a Space Vehicle Software Engineer to develop embedded software for space-based payloads and assist with higher level integration with buses, contributing to the complete life cycle of space-based applications.
Requirements
- Experience with software development within Aerospace Industry
- Experience in with Embedded Software Development
- Minimum 4 years of software development experience in C/C++
- Background in developing and maintaining satellite payloads
- Knowledge in space domain and applications
- Fundamental knowledge of computer architecture and networks
- 8+ years of experience in software development (knowledge of C/C++, assembly, Python)
Responsibilities
- Actively participate in architecture, design, and code reviews.
- Collaborate with and lead other engineers to plan and organize the development of our solutions.
- Contribute to program execution as a practitioner of knowledge within low level Space Vehicle Software development and Bus-PL Interfaces.
- Utilize strong technical skillset, able to contribute to requirements analysis, design, code and unit test, integration and test, and requirements sell off
- develop embedded software for space-based payloads

- contribute to the complete life cycle of the software, from requirements, design, development, and implementation of space-based applications.
Other
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with a minimum 4-6 years software experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 2-4 years of software experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8-10 years of software experience.
- Communicate with leadership on status, issues, milestones, and successes.
