Point & Pay by North is looking for a Sr. SQL Software Engineer to improve the efficiency, quality, and responsiveness of their payment solutions, specifically by enhancing SQL Reporting and Scripting, and reducing support case volume.
Requirements
- 5 years of experience designing/writing/implementing systems with a relational database such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server.
- 3+ years supporting SQL Production Reporting Services
- Strong working knowledge of MS SQL: Scripting, SSRS
- Troubleshooting database and server (OS, config) incidents and identifying resolution
- 5 years of experience writing automated unit tests.
- 5 years of experience in the design and development of complex Web Systems.
- Experience with secure software development
Responsibilities
- Identify and implement SQL Reporting and SQL Scripting changes to improve report delivery and execution. Including working with Business Analysts and Developers to manage reports and client requests
- Identification and creation of SQL reporting improvements to reduce support case volume.
- Design, build, deploy and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable database/scripting code releases
- Review, test, and verify code for adherence to quality and security standards
- Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications
- Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems
- Assist in the design and use of automated unit and integration testing

- Must be in Florida
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent work experience and technical training
- Timely and effective response to all system alerts and outages.
- Provide guidance and technical support to team members
