Requirements
- 10+ years of relevant industry experience, with at least 4 years in retrieval infrastructure or large-scale distributed systems.
- 2+ years of experience serving as a technical lead across teams or organizations.
- Proven expertise building and scaling high-performance systems for consumer-facing applications such as search, recommendations, or advertising platforms.
- Proficiency in a compiled programming language such as C++ (preferred), Java, or Rust.
- Strong problem-solving skills, architectural insight, and ability to make trade-offs for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Experience mentoring and guiding engineers, fostering technical growth and collaboration.

- Define and execute technical strategy for large-scale retrieval and recommendation platforms.
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, reliable distributed systems capable of indexing and serving billions of documents to hundreds of millions of users.
- Collaborate across engineering, product, and data science teams to innovate on search, recommendation, and personalization technologies.
- Mentor senior engineers, providing guidance on technical challenges, architecture, and leadership development.
- Identify and address emerging product and platform needs, ensuring robust, scalable, and maintainable solutions.
- Drive cross-team initiatives to enhance infrastructure, improve performance, and adopt industry best practices.
