The Hartford is seeking a .NET and SQL Tech Lead to join the Global Specialty IT team supporting their Finance applications. The role involves working on critical financial system integrations and modernizing the existing systems by adopting DevOps practices and Agile methodologies.

Requirements

  • Develop and maintain robust SSIS ETL workflows for diverse data sources, advanced data transformations, and automation.
  • Experience leading development efforts of a complex system.
  • Strong knowledge in SQL, SSIS and SSRS development.
  • Strong knowledge in .NET (C) and Visual Studio.
  • Strong Troubleshooting skills and ability to reverse engineer SQL and .NET code.
  • Experience designing and implementing Microservices or API-based integrations.
  • Experience with DevOps practices including but not limited to continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD) concepts and tools; familiarity with automated testing and code analysis tools.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership and enforce the vision of the application architecture
  • Skilled in Power BI and SSRS report development, including drill-down, drill-through, sub-reports, and custom expressions.
  • Safeguard the integrity of the application environment in alliance with architects and other tech leads
  • Design and develop complex SQL, SSIS, SSRS code after writing detailed technical design specification.
  • Writing Scalable code in .NET (C) application.
  • Drive technical innovation through newly identified and leading technologies
  • Prepare comprehensive technical requirements for the development team and oversee their completion.

  • Manage multiple priorities effectively, focus on details, and maintain a clear overall perspective.
  • The candidate must have strong written and verbal communication, presentation, and technical writing skills with ability to effectively communicate solution recommendations and influence key stakeholders.
  • Candidate must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship.
