The company needs to develop and deliver tailored reports for clients, requiring a Report Developer to design, create, and implement custom reports that effectively present data in a clear and actionable manner.
Requirements
- Solid understanding of SQL and data modeling principles
- Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services and SQL Server Business Intelligence Development Studio (BIDS)
- Experience with SharePoint and SharePoint Excel Services
- Experience with other established business intelligence tools (e.g. Cognos, MicroStrategy)
- Knowledge of OLAP Cubes, Report Models, and transactional databases using MS Visual Studio
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, document, and deliver custom reports of moderate complexity for Tyler clients
- Work closely with Business Analysts and/or Software Engineers to ensure proper incorporation of new technologies when developing custom reports
- Assure integrity of all solutions developed through coordination of testing and adherence to company standards and procedures
- Publish all custom-developed reports to a shared document library
- Coordinate input from several different business functions and individuals within Tyler Technologies
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or math, or comparable work experience
- A minimum of 2 years of previous experience
- Solid understanding of Tyler’s business and client needs
- Strong project management skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Occasional travel to a client site
- Ability to work independently and manage workload
