Tyler clients require tailored reports to understand their data and make informed decisions. The Report Developer will create these custom reports to meet specific client needs.
Requirements
- Solid understanding of SQL and data modeling principles.
- Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services and SQL Server Business Intelligence Development Studio (BIDS) is strongly desired; experience with other established business intelligence tools is useful (e.g. Cognos, MicroStrategy).
- Experience with SharePoint and SharePoint Excel Services.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, document, and deliver custom reports of moderate complexity for Tyler Clients using the latest OLAP Cubes, Report Models, and transactional databases using MS Visual Studio.
- Work closely with Business Analysts and/or Software Engineers to ensure proper incorporation of new technologies when developing custom reports.
- Assure integrity of all solutions developed through coordination of testing and adherence to company standards and procedures.
- Publish all custom-developed reports to a shared document library.
- Work independently to manage workload and respond to changing deadlines.
- Respond with the flexibility to changing deadlines.
- Coordinate input from several different business functions and individuals within Tyler Technologies.

- Occasionally travel to a client site to discuss reporting requirements.
- Work independently.
- Demonstrate effective communication skills with a wide range of clients, both internal and external, from technical to non-technical and from management to clerical.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or math, or comparable work experience.
- A minimum of 2 years of previous experience.
