Warner Bros. Discovery is looking to solve complex business questions using big data and drive business insights and strategy through data-driven use cases.
Requirements
- Expertise in writing clean, efficient, and high-performance SQL code
- Experience working with complex stakeholders; dissecting vague asks and outputting digestible strategic insights from data
- Advanced ability to build reports and dashboards with visualization tools (such as Looker and Tableau)
- Experience with general-purpose programming (e.g. Python, Scala), dealing with a variety of data structures, algorithms, & statistical analysis
- Experience with big-data technologies (e.g. Spark, Kafka, Delta Lake)
- Experience in managing workflows using Agile practices
- Background in data science and machine learning is highly desirable
Responsibilities
- Partner with Product stakeholders to translate business questions into data solutions
- Design and implement data models that support advanced analytics and visualization
- Lead automation efforts to streamline data manipulation and validation processes
- Mentor team members and promote best practices for data stewardship
- Develop intuitive frameworks that enhance team productivity and collaboration
- Guide the Analytics Engineering roadmap, communicate timelines, and manage development cycles/sprints to deliver value
- Establish and maintain analytics development standards
Other
- Bachelor's degree, MS or greater in a quantitative field of study (Computer/Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, etc.)
- 7+ years of relevant experience in advanced analytics/analytics engineering
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially with senior level stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple projects and time constraints simultaneously
- Experience with digital products and streaming services is preferred
