Coupang is investing in building a world-class Advertising business where they run relevant ads across their website and Mobile App. They are building the next generation of products and services to fuel Coupang ad business’s future growth by providing self-service advertising capabilities to their Sellers and Suppliers. They are looking for passionate software engineers to build the big data pipeline and highly scalable online systems to power their advertisement products.
Requirements
- 4 years of relevant industry experience with distributed systems, system programming and backend development
- 4 years of solid work with fundamental algorithms, system design, and large distributed systems.
- 7+ years of solid experience with fundamental algorithms, system design, and large distributed systems.
- 7+ years of coding experience, specifically in Java.
- Hands-on experience in building large-scale serving and data infrastructure.
- Experience with service-oriented architecture and web application/services development
- Practical experience in utilizing AWS (Amazon Web Services).
Responsibilities
- Designing and developing our advertising platform to support Coupang’s fast business growth.
- building the big data pipeline and highly scalable online systems to power our advertisement products.
- working on search, recommendation, and machine learning technologies and systems to power and enhance our advertisement products.
- developing low latency, highly available, large-scale services and systems and building APIs for programmatic integrations.
- Identify opportunities to initiate technical investments and drive milestones within the Ads Serving Platform.
- Design and construct robust, scalable, and efficient distributed ad systems.
- Execute and deliver impactful system solutions that benefit multiple teams in Ads.

- Drive and manage multiple impactful initiatives and projects concurrently.
- Mentor and provide guidance to fellow team members.
- Experience in leading cross-team system design and execution.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
