Ava Labs is looking to hire a Staff Backend Engineer to design, develop, and scale secure, high-performance blockchain and crypto wallet products for Ava Labs and its ecosystem partners, aiming to redefine how people create value with Web3 and digitize all the world's assets on one open, programmable blockchain platform.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on engineering experience with a strong focus on backend systems, particularly in Golang—experience with JavaScript is a plus
- Proven track record in building crypto wallets or blockchain-related products
- Deep understanding of both UTXO and Account models, state management, and consensus mechanisms
- Extensive experience in secure coding practices with a very strong understanding of security principles as they apply to blockchain and crypto wallet systems
- Familiarity with competitive technologies and cloud service setups
- Experience with multi-party computation (MPC) protocols
- Hands-on experience with advanced security testing tools and methodologies
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain crypto wallet systems using Golang, ensuring robust support for protocols such as multi-party computation (MPC) and multi-signature (multi-sig) configurations
- Architect modular, scalable backend systems with an unwavering commitment to security and performance
- Provide technical guidance across Business Development, Product, Security, Finance, and Engineering teams
- Establish architectures and systems that ensure mass adoption of Ava Labs products while maintaining top-tier security
