Northrop Grumman is looking for a Sr Staff Cyber Software Engineer to test, maintain, and enhance complex and diverse software systems, including processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, and real-time systems, to support the company's missions in rapidly changing global security environments.
Requirements
- Understanding of design, development, documenting, testing software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions
- Experience developing and executing test procedures for software components
- Experience in Java programming language is preferred
- Capable of performing research in addition to testing efforts
- Ability to work in a team environment and individually
- Ability to determine computer user needs and analyze system capabilities to resolve problems
- Experience with software processes similar to those used in the company's projects
Responsibilities
- Test, maintain, and enhance complex and diverse software systems
- Design, develop, document, test, and debug applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions
- Conduct multidisciplinary research and collaborate with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers
- Plan, design, develop, test, and utilize electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software
- Develop and execute test procedures for software components
- Determine computer user needs and analyze system capabilities to resolve problems
- Perform research in addition to testing efforts
Other
- A current and active TS/SCI Clearance with Polygraph through the MD customer is required
- U.S. Citizenship is required for all positions with a government clearance and certain other restricted positions
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required
- Fifteen (15) years of experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required
- Travel: Yes, 10% of the Time
