IonQ is seeking to improve its data engineering and machine learning capabilities to enhance its quantum computer technology.
Requirements
- 5+ years experience with software development in Python
- 5+ years experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
- Experience designing data models and data warehouses
- Experience with data processing using traditional and distributed systems
- Experience writing and maintaining ETLs which operate on a variety of structured and unstructured sources
- Experience with Unix or Linux systems
- Significant experience with technologies such as Kubernetes, Postgres, Airflow, Grafana, Apache Iceberg, Apache Superset, Trino/PrestoDB, DBT, Terraform, Segment, InfluxDB, and OpenTelemetry
Responsibilities
- Design, architect, develop, test, deploy, and maintain data pipelines and warehousing
- Ensure the quality of systems through design and code reviews
- Collaborate with an experienced interdisciplinary staff
- Identify and drive opportunities for continuous improvement
- Approach problems pragmatically
- Assist in the career development of others, providing mentorship on advanced technical issues
Other
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, or equivalent practical experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A love of collaborating across teams in an interdisciplinary environment
- Location: This role will work onsite at our office located in Bothell, WA, with hybrid and remote options available
- Must be a U.S. person for export controls and government contracts work, or obtain necessary license/confirm availability of a license exception
