Blue Yonder's Professional Services team is seeking a Staff Data Science Consultant to partner with customers to unlock the full value of their business through data-driven insights and intelligent decision support, serving as a trusted advisor by recommending software configuration options, implementing optimized solutions, and ensuring customers achieve maximum value from their Blue Yonder investments.
Requirements
- Advanced machine learning frameworks and libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn)
- Big data processing tools (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and R
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines for efficient deployment of machine learning models
- Familiarity with SQL and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
- Proficiency in Python or R, with hands-on experience using modern frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch
- 8+ years of experience applying data science to solve real-world challenges, with deep expertise in machine learning and operations research in a professional work setting
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test algorithms, models, and solution approaches to address business issues with minimal supervision.
- Create prototypes and proofs of concept for new features to demonstrate feasibility and effectiveness.
- Embed models and algorithms into product solutions, ensuring operational aspects and client usability are prioritized.
- Develop high-quality code and tests, adhering to clean code principles and Blue Yonder’s standards.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior data scientists and data analysts within the team.
- Engage with clients to understand their needs, present findings, and implement tailored solutions that drive business value.
- Stay abreast of advancements in technology and methodologies to continuously improve the team’s capabilities.
