Radiant is building the world's first mass-produced, portable nuclear microreactors. The company's first reactor, Kaleidos, is a 1-megawatt failsafe microreactor that can be transported anywhere power is needed and run for up to five years without the need to refuel. Portable nuclear power with rapid deploy capability can replace similar-sized diesel generators, and provide critical asset support for hospitals, data centers, remote sites, and military bases. Radiant's unique, practical approach to nuclear development utilizes modern software engineering to rapidly achieve safe, factory-built microreactors that leverage existing, well-qualified materials. The company's new team needs to own Radiant's internal data infrastructure, executive analytics, and AI capabilities.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of DevOps or infrastructure engineering experience
  • AWS experience—EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, and related services (Radiant is AWS-based)
  • CI/CD pipeline development—GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar
  • Infrastructure as code—Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi
  • Scripting and automation—Python, Bash, or similar
  • Databricks administration experience—workspaces, clusters, Unity Catalog, SQL Warehouses
  • Experience in regulated environments—SOC 2, FedRAMP, ITAR, or similar compliance frameworks

Responsibilities

  • Deploy and manage Databricks, Fivetran, Airbyte, and supporting infrastructure on AWS
  • Manage workspaces, clusters, Unity Catalog, and SQL Warehouses (shared responsibility with SWE team)
  • Automate deployments for dbt models, connector configurations, and dashboard updates
  • Set up Datadog (or similar) for pipeline monitoring, data quality alerts, and infrastructure health
  • Implement infrastructure that meets ITAR/EAR requirements; work with IT/Security on access controls, audit logging, and network configuration
  • Enable Data Platform Engineers to ship quickly with reliable, well-documented infrastructure

Other

  • This position requires the ability to work in the United States and eligibility for access to export-controlled information under ITAR/EAR.
  • Competitive compensation with equity
  • Health/dental/vision, 401(k), and flexible PTO
  • You'll own the infrastructure for a critical new team—not maintaining someone else's system
  • Unfortunately, we are unable to provide visa sponsorship at this time.
