Northrop Grumman Microelectronics Center (NGMC) is seeking a Staff Embedded Software Engineer to design, develop, operate and maintain software and firmware components and computing systems software to be applied to and integrated with engineering, scientific and manufacturing requirements.
Requirements
- Knowledge in programming embedded software using object-oriented design principles in C/C++
- Knowledge in operating system concepts for embedded systems (Linux or VxWorks)
- Ability to test, debug and integrate on embedded systems
- Knowledge in using requirement management, configuration management and change management tools.
- Experience with full software lifecycle: specification, design, implementation, integration, debug and maintenance is required
- Experience with scripting languages such as: Python, Linux shell scripting.
- Experience using Model Based Engineering, UML, OOAD and OOP
Responsibilities
- Designs, develops, operates and maintains software and firmware components and computing systems software to be applied to and integrated with engineering, scientific and manufacturing requirements.
- Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures and tools throughout the system development life cycle to support the generation of engineering applications and products.
- Experience including the full software development life-cycle, which includes: requirements, design, coding, testing, and integration.
- Knowledge in programming embedded software using object-oriented design principles in C/C++
- Knowledge in operating system concepts for embedded systems (Linux or VxWorks)
- Ability to test, debug and integrate on embedded systems
- Knowledge in using requirement management, configuration management and change management tools.

- This position is contingent upon Funding/Contract award, special access program and acquiring and maintaining the necessary US Government security clearance per customers' requirements prior to start.
- This position requires the applicant to be a U.S. citizen
- Current active DoD Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI w. Polygraph prior to start.
