EchoStar is looking to solve problems related to dynamic Server side Ad Insertion service, aiming to improve its functionality and reliability, especially during peak usage hours.
Requirements
- at least 3+ year experience in the development of REST API with thorough knowledge of MPEG DASH & HLS protocols
- Experience in Distributed Cache Management (Redis Cache, MemCached, or similar)
- Working experience in REST API/API Gateway
- Be an expert in core data structures as well as algorithms and has the ability to implement them using language of choice
- Knowledge of MPEG DASH, HLS streaming protocol
- Strong proficiency in one of the following languages: Rust, Golang, Java
- Familiarity with virtualization and Cloud technologies (Kubernetes/Dockers/OpenStack/VMware)
Responsibilities
- Ownership of the dynamic Server side Ad Insertion service especially during US day time hours for design discussions, feature addition, incident handling and mitigation
- Working on an agile team using CI / CD best practices to deliver the highest quality software possible quickly
- Ability to accurately estimate software tasks and work to schedule
- Experience with GIT and JIRA is an add-on
- Be an expert in core data structures as well as algorithms and has the ability to implement them using language of choice
- Knowledge of MPEG DASH, HLS streaming protocol
- Strong proficiency in one of the following languages: Rust, Golang, Java
