Samsung Semiconductor Inc., Wireless Connectivity Software Engineering team is seeking engineers to develop software infrastructure, framework, and protocol stack for 802.11 based WLAN chipsets.
Requirements
- Excellent coding skills in C programming languages.
- Strong understanding of MAC Layer concepts & physical layer (e.g., modulation analysis (OFDM, OFDMA)) Concepts.
- Experience in developing firmware for wireless communication protocols (WLAN).
- Fluency in using lab equipment such as network analyzers, WFA test beds, signal generators, power meters etc.
- Familiarity with WLAN standards & domain knowledge of Wi-Fi MAC/PHY Specifications.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test software modules for WLAN chipsets, with a focus on MAC layer functionality.
- Debug real-time systems, working hands-on with development boards and lab equipment
- Participate in feature bring-up/interoperability activities with external certification labs as well as customer sites.
- Collaborate with product S/W and manufacturing teams to provide system-level API and firmware functionality to meet end-user requirements.
- Work closely with System engineering teams to architect, define and implement innovative algorithms, and protocols.
- Support post-silicon bring up, validation, performance characterization, system integration, and debug.
