Archer is looking for an experienced engineer to integrate the fault tolerant flight controls computer with other aircraft systems.
Requirements
- Experience with fight controls, avionics, powertrain, or related systems
- Experience with systems verification
- Working knowledge of hardware and software integration in a lab environment
- Understanding of communication standards and protocols (RS-422/485, CAN, ARINC-429, AFDX, Ethernet, TCP/IP, etc.)
- Familiarity with debuggers and lab instruments such as oscilloscopes and bus analyzers
- Proficiency with C language
- Experience with MATLAB/Simulink
Responsibilities
- Develop, integrate and test the aircraft flight controls software
- Perform functional and requirement-based testing on a variety of environments
- Navigate through systems and software requirements, architecture diagrams, Simulink models, C source code files, lab stations configuration files and supplier documents
- Manage and disposition problem reports found during test campaigns
- Support aircraft production, ground and flight testing troubleshooting
- Develop and continuously improve processes & guidelines to increase safety and efficiency
- Participate in planning, design, scheduling, prioritizing, and tracking the project

- Must be on-site at Archer San Jose, CA office with ability to travel to Salinas, CA
