Topstep is looking to shape the technical direction, design, build, and evolution of the systems that power their trader experience by hiring a Staff Front End Software Engineer.
Requirements
- 3+ years of hands-on React development experience
- 6+ years total in full-stack or frontend development
- Strong foundation in TypeScript and modern web technologies
- Experience with state management (Zustand, Context API, or similar)
- Proven track record of building scalable, maintainable frontend architectures
- Proficiency in React, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3
- Experience with modern frontend tooling (Vite, Bun, npm/yarn)
Responsibilities
- Partner with Product Managers and designers to architect intuitive, responsive trading interfaces
- Lead frontend development efforts and provide technical guidance to the team
- Develop and maintain scalable React component libraries and design systems
- Work closely with our backend team to design efficient GraphQL integrations
- Drive performance optimization initiatives because every millisecond counts in trading
- Champion best practices in frontend development and establish UI/UX standards
- Mentor team members through code reviews and knowledge sharing sessions
